          -Grammar (rules)
          -Pronunciation (focus of this class)

• Discussed RP (Received Pronunciation) and GA (General American)
• http://www.fonetiks.org/sou4th.html (Thai Triphthongs)
  

• Did exercises 2.1-2.4 and went through the answers

• Introduced 2 IPA symbols    /æ/ rat        and        /eɪ/    pay
• Spent time in groups discussing the presentation
