EN102 Classes
Final exam (Sunday February 19th 2012)
Make sure you arrive at 9am for the exam on the 7th floor. If you are late you may not be permitted to take the exam.
Additional chapters to learn before exam (added 15th February 12pm)
Due to time constraints (the course was only 6 days instead of 8) I was unable to get through every chapter that I intended to. Please work through the following chapters as questions from them might be on the exam: Chapter 59 (Health), 60 (Injuries), 62 (Shops and Shopping), 63 (Food)
Correction
When explaining about the idiom "larger than life" I said that Michael Jackson (should he still be here) is not someone who would be considered larger than life. Thinking about it, I am fairly sure that he would actually be larger than life, perhaps considerably larger than life.

Presentation Information
- Your group must create a 10 minute presentation based on any topic of 'Sentences and Vocabulary in General use.' You should cover 1 or 2 topics in the presentation. If you choose 1 topic make sure you look at different ideas on that topic and go into depth on it.
- You do not have to choose topics from the book... it is your choice. You are free to choose a new topic as long as it is relevant
- Choose a topic that you can introduce a lot of information on and be interesting. You can choose a topic from class and expand it and go into more detail on it
- Everyone should be involved in the presentation
- Scoring system:
-Quality (5 marks)
-Information (5 marks)
-Interest (5 marks)
If you are absent you will not get any score. Everyone should take part.
Tips:
Keep PPT slides simple and short with only key information
Do not read a script (notes are OK but do not rely on them)
Keep videos short (1-2mins maximum)
Be prepared and practice beforehand so your presentation is not too long and not too short (you are allowed + or - 1 minute)
Check with me if you are unsure about anything beforehand
Prepare your presentation on the computer during break or before the presentations start so that it is ready. If you are unprepared then it will affect your score.
