As cool as a cucumber- To be extremely calm
You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink- You can only help someone so much
To get into the swing of it- To finally get used to how something works
When in Rome, do as the Romans do- You should adapt to local customs or a local situation
Rome wasn't built in a day- It sometimes takes a long time to achieve a goal
He’s got a chip on his shoulder- To continue to be angry about something that someone did
- Did a video exercise about formal English where you had to identify 5 new items of vocab and 5 new idioms
