- Went through salutations and complimentary closes (see below)
- Looked at how complimentary closes have changed since email has become so common (see below)
- Did a worksheet about phrases to use in business English (see below)
- Did a formal business letter writing exercise (you had to include at least 5 phrases from the worksheet in the previous exercise)
- Peer reviewed the letter above for by a class mate
- Talked about personal request letters (and factors that may influence how they are written)
- Spent time preparing for the project
