In today's class we :

• Discussed the 3 things that make up a dialect

          -Vocabulary (lexis)
          -Grammar (rules)
          -Pronunciation (focus of this class) 

• Re-capped class 1
  
• Looked at syllables and different rules of syllables 
• Discussed the use of stress in the English language and how it can be used for danger, emphasis, questions and other things such as sarcasm
• Talked about the AQI ("Australian Question Intonation")
• We looked at 2 new monopthongs     /e/    (bed, leg)  and     /iː/    (meat, leave)
  
• Did an exercise separating different words into the correct categories of their vowel sound
