Assignment.
For those who I have spoken to, here are the details of the replacement essay assignment. Please write a 1000 word essay based on the title:
"Please examine the importance of English Sentences and Vocabulary in General Use in everyday life"
Deadline - March 16th (you can bring it to me at the NMB Building Room 302)
Length - 1000 words
All work must be written in your own words. Any copied work will result in being given an F.
All work must be written by yourself. If the standard of your work is suspiciously high, I will request you to meet me to write a section of your work when I meet you to check the level.
Please email me if you have any questions
*Please can groups 20 and 21 attend University on February 26th, at 9am for a re-exam in NMB 3rd floor, 303* Please tell your friends about the date. A score if I will be given for non-attendance.
Here are the preliminary final scores for the course.
I am very curious about the final exam scores of certain groups, particularly groups 20 and 21, with a high number of people in those groups suddenly scoring 23-25 (nearly 100%), even though the presentation scores for those groups were very low (2 out of 20 and 10.5/20 respectively) and the average score on the exam overall was 16.1. These scores were inconsistent with other groups' scores....It is very uncommon for everyone in a group to get almost the same score...usually there is a range as people have different abilities (please see the score sheet below). There is of course a chance that everyone in the group worked hard, and achieved a good score from studying together. This was not an easy exam however, as can be seen from the general scores overall ).
In the interest of fairness, I would like to arrange a re-exam for these students from groups 20 and 21 with a different exam paper. If the scores students get are similar to the first exam then the original score will stand. If there is a big difference in the scores people get, then there may be a problem. If anyone has any information, I would be happy to hear on [email protected].
I will confirm the date for the re-exam on here soon. Please keep checking back.
