Having gone through the scores, I have raised the scores for the folder slightly for each group to fairly reflect the overall ability of the class, and taking into account the problems with the course (the textbook and lack of time etc.). I am fairly happy that the scores for the group fairly reflect the effort and ability of the students

Chapters in the course text book for the final exam
The final exam will only be based on these chapters. I will closely use questions from the book in the final exam. I will try to avoid using questions with ambiguous answers.
The final exam will only be based on these chapters. I will closely use questions from the book in the final exam. I will try to avoid using questions with ambiguous answers.
Due to the lack of arrival of the course text book (after 4 classes), and the compressed nature of the course, I am going to change the course grading structure to be the following:
Attendance- 10%
Presentation- 30% (it will now be 15 minutes in length)
Group Folder- 60% (your input should now equate to what you consider to be a fair reflection of 60% of the course hours in terms of research, planning, working on and collating).
This will supersede the information on the course syllabus. If the textbook arrives, you may use it for a reference point, but there will no longer be a final exam, and therefore you are not required to learn chapters from the book in preparation for it.
The presentation day will now replace the final exam day, giving you one extra day for preparation. Remember that the final class will be in the NMB Building Room 402.
