In today's class we:
- Did a quick review of the last class
- Introduced 3 new vowel sounds: /ɔɪ/ toy, coin AND /ɔː/ for. caught, law AND / aʊ / sound, brown
- Did a quick informal test for all previous sounds
- Watched an episode of Eastenders to analyse the cockney accent in it
- Spent some time in our groups to prepare for Friday's presentations
- Briefly talked about the sounds for verbs that end in 'ed.' These sounds are either /t/ /d/ or /Id/
- Did an exercise based on writing secret sentences in the IPA form.
- Translated these sentences back into their original sentence form
- Did quiz 3
